New Mexico born designer, I am no stranger to the unusual and the peculiar. Born into a town steeped in urban legend in the New Mexican desert, I was raised in Roswell, where my childhood was filled with the arts. Much of southwestern culture and folklore found it’s way into the artistic foundation that I continue to pull from in terms of my designs.
Inspired by my surroundings, the colors and local flavors of art and architecture, I have attempted to created a body of work filled with touches of folklore from Hispanic cultures that I grew up within. Recently I was bitten by the travel bug and have begun to travel to different countries. In these travels I make it a point to be influenced and inspired by the different sights, sounds, and people.
In the summer of 2009, I decided to open up an old family road atlas, close my eyes, and let fate guide my finger down to any location. I was ready to take a new leap into my artistic career, with a new environment to start in. My finger landed next to Seattle, Washington, where I would soon find myself calling home. I currently reside in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle, and recently attended the Northwest College of Art and Design. I now have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications double majoring in Graphic and Interactive Design and a need for continuing the creative passion that burns within me.
